EET Diesel Systems designs and manufactures Diesel Emissions Control Systems to reduce harmful diesel emissions and help owners of diesel engines save money as they invest to meet EPA Clean Air Mandates. Our core technology is protected by several patents and features a method of reducing emissions, particulate matter and other pollutants found in diesel engine exhaust.
No one technology addresses the removal of all pollutants contained in diesel exhaust. To date, solutions can be broken down into those that affect the conversion/removal of carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC), elements of nitrogen NOx and volatile organics, and those that address solid particulate matter. Hybrid systems do exist that address these categories but they are not sufficiently robust to remove all contaminants.
EPA Clean Air Mandates
Owners of diesel engines have four options for dealing with clean air mandates.
- Buy a new engine which meets clean air mandates.
- Retrofit their engine with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).
- Do nothing and risk paying fines or the inability to use their engine.
- Retrofit with a EETDS PlasmaClean system.
EET Diesel Systems, with its patent-protected technology is uniquely qualified to address diesel emission and PM removal requirements cost effectively. When combined with a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) the PlasmaClean system also reduces HC and CO. Our low power, lower temperature plasma-based system has many cost and feature advantages over competing technologies such as Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF). These advantages include low initial unit and installation costs, no added maintenance costs, lower fuel consumption and no impact on engine performance, such as back pressure on the engine.
